Nicholas Decker
Lead Draftsperson
Nicholas has been part of Moosehead Cedar Log Homes for almost six years, bringing skill, versatility, and an impressive range of knowledge to our team. He handles prelims and revisions for customers and dealers, full plan sets for builders, shop drawings and timber details for the mill, and various drafting needs for our sales team.
He’s also involved in nearly every step of the delivery process — from completing material take-offs to directing and structuring loads — plus a wide assortment of tasks that make their way through the Dover office.
Shannon Hersey
Customer Relations Manager
Shannon has been with Moosehead for nearly 3 years and brings more than 20 years of experience in the log home industry. She got her start working in a cedar sawmill back in high school. Today, she plays a major role in sales, marketing, customer and dealer assistance, and organizing home shows. She’s also the face behind our social media — and if you’ve called our 800 number, there’s a good chance you’ve spoken with her!
Outside of work, Shannon is a busy mom to two daughters, Harper (10) and Lennon (7), who are active in sports and plenty of extracurriculars. She also owns and operates a spray tan business out of a local med spa. When she does find a little downtime, you’ll find her at the lake, skiing, golfing, traveling, or cheering on the UMaine Black Bears hockey team.
Barry Ivey
President
Barry has been with MCLH for almost 8 years, working closely with our Mill, Design, Admin, Marketing, and Sales teams to support the continued growth and long-term success of MCLH. He keeps a close eye on industry trends, challenges, and innovations to ensure we remain the Leader in Cedar.
With more than 30 years in the cedar log home industry, Barry has held roles in Marketing, Dealer Development, Sales, Team Management, and company-wide leadership. His depth of knowledge and experience is a tremendous asset to our entire organization.
Outside of work, Barry enjoys traveling with his wife, Melissa, spending time outdoors hunting and fishing, and staying connected with his adult children — Devin in Texas and Amelia in Florida.
Matt Jones
Drafting Department Supervisor
Matt has been with Moosehead for nearly 20 years, and his experience shows in everything he does. As supervisor of the drafting department, Matt oversees projects from start to finish — assigning plans, reviewing drawings, completing material takeoffs, tracking project progress, and converting drawings into detailed spreadsheets for our log cut line. His expertise ensures every home is accurate, buildable, and ready for production. With over 35 years in the construction industry and an associate degree in CADD, Matt brings incredible knowledge and craftsmanship to our team.
Outside of work, Matt is a dedicated family man — husband to his wife, Becky, and proud dad of four: Gavyn, Ellianna, Hayden, and Hadley. Whether he’s cheering his kids on in their school sports and activities, tackling DIY home or auto projects, or enjoying a camping trip, Matt is always all-in.
Kevin Locke
Production & Materials Manager
Kevin brings an impressive 42 years of hands-on experience in cedar manufacturing — pulling, piling, peeling, sawing, processing, and counting cedar throughout his career. At Moosehead Cedar Log Homes, he oversees production, manages material sourcing, maintains inventory, and works closely with outside suppliers to keep everything running smoothly.
When he’s not in the mill, Kevin enjoys life on Spaulding Lake with his wife. They have one adult son who lives in southern Maine. Kevin is also incredibly talented with his CNC machine, designing and creating beautiful custom wood pieces in his spare time.
Jim Lyons
Design & Production Support Coordinator
Jim also brings an incredible 42 years of experience in log home design and dealer assistance to Moosehead Cedar Log Homes. He plays a key role in coordinating material take-offs, procurement, and costing — ensuring every project is accurate, efficient, and well-supported from start to finish.
Jim is married with two adult daughters and a teenage grandson. When he’s not spending time with his family, you’ll often find him walking, reading, or dedicating his time to coaching youth basketball — something he’s proudly done for more than 30 years.
Shannon Mann
Administrative Assistant
Shannon has been part of the MCLH family for four years. As our Administrative assistant, Shannon supports our HR department, bringing invaluable experience from her 25 years in retail and office work. Her dedication, professionalism, and positive attitude make a difference here every single day.
When she’s not keeping things running smoothly at the office, you’ll often find her enjoying Moosehead Lake with her family and friends.
Jason Putnam
Design Team
Jason has been with us for 2.5 years, creating detailed construction plans that help turn each customer’s ideas into reality. He brings 20 years of experience from a previous log home company, giving him a strong foundation in design, structure, and the unique requirements of log home construction.
Outside of work, Jason enjoys spending time with his family, following his kids’ sports, and hitting the slopes during ski season.
Tyson Weeks
Director of Dealer Services and Estimating
Tyson handles a wide variety of responsibilities, including quoting homes and materials, negotiating contracts, answering construction questions, providing consultations, coordinating log home delivery schedules, and overseeing material procurement. His role plays a major part in keeping projects moving smoothly from planning to delivery.
With a BA in Business Administration, Tyson brings 15 years of experience in residential and commercial construction, along with 10 years in the log home industry. His knowledge and steady approach make him an invaluable resource to our dealers and customers.
Outside of work, Tyson enjoys hunting, fishing, coaching hockey and baseball, relaxing at camp on the lake, and spending time with his two kids.
